Default nitrate danger?

my nitrate is at 40 is this gonna have affect on my fish an inverts bin this 4 2 wk now everything doing ok at the min, shud i worry? thanks

If you don't have any corals as now you shouldn't be worry is a little high
but it don't have much effect on fish, try doing a partial change of water.
NO3 at 40ppm. is border line if the fish seemed ok you be fine as long as it don't get any higher

ihav corals in tank ther doing great all growing like mad since i got them, do water change once a wk, so i dont need 2 worry then , thanks

Increase frequency and amount of water changes until biofilter catches up with bioload..

Any reading over 20ppm is good sign a water change is called for.

Test frequently until params settle into wanted range.
