Low PH`

My PH is below 8.0 in my 20 long and i have some ph increaser for my freshwater tank can i use it to bring the ph up in my saltwater tank or will it kill what little life i have in there.

3 snails
about 15 pounds of live rock

What are your alk/mag/calcium levels at?

It might mess with the pH level since it is meant for a different type of water. Might cause it to spike and you dont want that. I would refrain from using it just to be on the safe side.

I would check the alkalinity level and see where that is at. They work together and when one is off so will the other one. Also how often do you do water changes? Some salts raise the ph in change water to 8.2 so maby a water change would help.

firstly id ask how long has the tank been running?
if its very new, low or high ph will occur as the tank stabilises.
during this period you shouldnt add anything.
allow the tank to settle go through its initial algae blloms and then start working on getting mg to around 1350, calcium 425, dKH about 9 or 10 and then ph shoudl settle at around 8 to 8.20 - of course this is also relative to oxygen levels so what kind of circulation do you have in there?
