i have to ask a question!!!! dont bistle worms make holes in live rock?

Just leave it in there its nothing worng with it they feed on waste and help clean up the sand But if you want to remove it ? just don't grab it with bare hands as for the numbers and sizes of these worms would tell me that you are over feeding the system thats how they explode in numbers much like aptasias. As with overfeeding the system will only make them grow in numbers .. Like Lemmings more food mean more of them..less food asnd they all run for the border (: As with all wild animals amount of food availability is what allows their numbers to increase. A arrow crab works on them as will some other sally lightfoot I think ??? and a few wrasses will eat them..

Not that I know of But there are rock boring worms and critters but not a bristle-worm I ever heard of ? They will hold up in some holes in rocks

Not sure I understand what the interesting part is ? I may have missed it. Just L/R left over from a job .. We have rock left over all the time.. Its hard to say excatly how much you will need for a large tank. Its noting to have several hundres pounds when done or a few hundered short. That's why we like to keep a few thousand lbs of clean cure cultured rock on hand all the time.

I like my bristleworm. I think he's cool. He and the two serpent stars come out at night and search the tank for leftover food. Mine is at least 12 inches -- I haven't seen all of him from tip to tip, so I can't say for sure.
