Reefkeeper is on a roll

Default High Salinity ?

Having the same problems with my Instant Ocean hydro.
Just got home from the lfs where they checked my water and told me it was .028 were my IO was telling me it was .024 . They told me to do a water change of 5gals [Distilled water]and I only have a 46 gal tank .
I would feel better if someone could let me know if this sounds like it might be to much at once.
Going to order a refractor from Drs Foster Smith tonight !!!

5 Gallons of fresh would bring you down. 5 gallons just might do it. I would do 2.5 gallons today and 2.5 tomorrow, so you can recheck and drop it relatively slowly. Refractometer is the best bet. I love mine.

I had the same problem with my hydrometer. Those things really are worse than useless.

The only thing worse than high salt levels is V quicky bringing them down. As Marty said, several small WCs is the way to go.
