Oh you will get salt spray for sure thats why with you its a temporary fix in a sump I run them 24/7 but every one of those bubble have some ammonia in them... May want to try and use a fan to move more air across the waters surface , You did not buy glass tops did you ? If so remove them asap.. let the tank breath.. What you have now is a time only fix.. LFS will sell you anything and if they sold you a anemone knowing you have a new system ! Then I'd find a new store or buy on line.. They are just after the money I'd have never sold you any anemone I have had a few right here to ask me about a rose Bubble tip for their systems that where I though new and I told them to look me up in a few more months. They had to have known the spike was coming ! But then again maybe not I know some stupid SOB's that run LFS..

When you set the tank up added LR and water did you add anything to kick start the cycle? Like a fish or fish food?

I had some inverts and a damsel and my ammonia was off the charts for the first 3 weeks then came down and went right back up off the charts again for a week or so, then it stayed pretty close to 0 after that. Thats when my LFS started selling me things. I'll start buying online for now on because they are the only fish store in Key West, and I'll get the advice from here.

Wow, I'm suprised your inverts made it!! After having a look at your signature I would go out and get a skimmer as you have a high bioload for a 20gallon tank.

It seems like the inverts are more durable than the fish. A skimmer is next on the list.

A skimmer is very important for a tank with a high bioload...but more so, is constant monitoring and likely very frequent water changes in a smaller/young tank.

Sorry about losses.

Good luck in future.

Let us know how goes.
