| Help?! What Is This? I have all this purple hair SOMETHING growing on TOP of my live rocks. My tank has been running for about 2 months. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but my clownfish seem to love hanging out in there (i believe they are mistaking it for a BTA). I was assuming it is some sort of algae that is spreading through my tank. Can someone please tell me what this is? I have read up on some posts and it says that good water flow would prevent algae, but this purple hairlike THING seems to only grow where there IS good water flow. I've attached some pictues below.
Can someone please help!? Thanks! http://www.3reef.com/photos/data//50...m/Picture1.jpg http://www.3reef.com/photos/data//50...m/Picture2.jpg http://www.3reef.com/photos/data//50...m/Picture3.jpg |

| Can this cause my livestock diseases (ich, etc?) if they are always swimming in and around it. My clownfish lays in it in the night time like he is sleeping in it and I'm afraid if he keeps rubbing up against it, he's going to get some sort of disease. Am I just being paranoid? |
