Exclamation Help Please...firefish In Trouble

Hello all....I purchased a firefish lastnight and placed him in my QT tank....he was fine lastnight...came home today from work and he is gasping for air.....cant keep himself right side up....stays lifeless for a while on its side...then flips out swimming around doing spirils....does anyone know what I can do to save him..if anything...PLEASE HELP!!!

Sounds to me like there is a high ammonia level in your QT tank. John

Okay, now as a last attempt to save him, I started to drip acclimate him to my display tank...do you think it is too late? Or is that something they can pull through from????? Should I put him down?

Did you test your ammonia level in QT?

He may pull threw, It depends on how badly his gills were damaged. ( If it was an ammonia issue ) Did you check your QT tank Ammonia level?

He didnt make it....yes it was the ammonia....damn it! Im so pissed at myself! Well anyway, thanks for your help, both of you!
