I actually left him in the tank. His specs of white were going away and I was a little bit concerned about stressing him out even more trying to catch him. If his conditions worsen I'll get him out.

I'll post pics as soon as he's better.

Very good deduction regarding increased stress. It's a crap shoot for sure when they are in that condition.

one thing that keeps tangs healthy is a good vaired diet but with a lot of greens, try adding alge disc, dried nori, or even sea lettuce some lfs sell it.

i do keep nori in the tank for it. the large white spot has turned a dark brown/black. i'm not sure if this is good or not. behavior hasn't changed much at all. still eats just as much as it always has.
