**EVERYBODY ELSE*** his 14g is a freshwater tank, lol. 9 fish is ok once the tank is fully cycled and depending on what they are.

Was your tank 3 days old when they started dieing off? If its a new tank, I'd remove the plants. Live plants need specific tank requirements and if they are not met, they will start to die off thus having the same effect as to many fish. Also with the plants being potted. What are they potted in? The substrate used for planted tanks is full of nitrates.Plants feed off nitrates.

when i bought the fish a man told me not to get over ten fish if the wernt all big and i bought all small fish so i thought it would be ok
