Fill cleaned tank with water and let sit for couple of weeks.

Then check for any residual Cu from earlier FW fish treatments.

Will save you loads of money and time down the line if you are planning a SW Reef tank.

Best of luck.

When I cleaned my old SW tank there was a algae and coraline all on the inside of the glass.

After soaking in water, i sprayed it down with the hose outside, then used a razor to carefully scrape it clean then rinsed again.

All clean no scratches.

\Good luck

illushinz is doing something right

I just went through the same exact thing at the begining of the year. I just used tap water to clean it. Scrubbed it good using nothing but a little vinegar and elbow grease. Many many rinses and let it dry complete out. (It probably sat for 2 or 3 weeks!)
It's doing great now.
