Default First water change now pump is just shooting out thousands of tiny bubbles.

I just did my first water change about an hour ago. and when i turned my skimmer and pumps back on it just shoots out tiny bubbles. If i turn the skimmer off then the bubbles go away. I've been adjusting the air valve but it does nothing. I have a clown and a flame angel in the tank and im scared im going to stress them out with the bubbles, they look scared. oh yeah i almost forgot, i have the Redsea Max tank.

Sounds like you got air in the skimmer and pump chamber. Is there anyway you can shut it off and prime it to get all the air out of the line??

all the pumps are running right now and now air comes out. it just when i open the air valve for the skimmer. When i was siphoning water out i did leave the pump on and it started shooting out bubbles so i shut them off right away. about 2 sec.

Sounds like you got your pump caveatting when siphoning...thereby getting air into return lines...

Bubbles should go away shortly...until then use a filter sock on returns as recommended.

I notice my skimmer has excess bubbles with new saltwater. I now let my new salt age 1 to 2 days.

are you using a clorine neutralizer?
If so be carful with the quantities that you are using as this can create a problem in your skimmer I was having the same troubles every time I was doing a water change and thought it was just the skimmer being difficult .
