Default Eel wont eat

Saturday I purchased a 28" Zebra Moray that I have not yet seen eat anything. I have tries silverbacks, krill, and MegaMarine soaking all in garlic but I have not been able to entise him to eat. He does not seem to be in distress and in what may be a good sign I looked in the tank an hour after lights out and he was swimming around like he was hunting.
but my question is anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can try and feed him?

Try feeding him live feeder goldfish or feeder guppys (depending on the size of him), few fish can resist I have found. DONT just keep feeding these to him though, just feed them to him to start him into feeding and then slowly try to get him into eating frozen food over a couple weeks. I got my lionfish to eat frozen food by dropping feeder guppys into the tank, he would gobble it up the second it hit the water, then one day I fed him one guppy then dropped in a peice of silverside, hes been eating them ever since.

Ask what he was eating at the LFS and copy that.

If he did not eat at the store I would start with live food and ween it onto the others you mentioned

i have a snowflake eel. last year my eel didn't eat for about 5 weeks i don't know why he didn't. i started to look it up online to see if anything would tell me why my eel was not eating. i found out they sometime go threw this and just don't
eat, and the the eel would be OK not eating for up to 8 weeks . that's just what i read so i just wanted to let you know that your eel should be ok. plus my eel loves frozen cockle in shell try that cause he goes crazy when i put it in the tank, you get at the pet store. let me know . mark.

Try frozen clam or squid. That is what I feed my snowflake. I should try silversides or something else but I don't want to buy it and have him not eat it.

Thanks, I hate to get him started on live food then have trouble getting it off of it but if nothing works by this weekend I will go that route. At the LSF he was eating silversides but he does not seem to interested in them now.
I will let you know what I find that works.

Your snowflake should be fine! Clam has an irrisistable smell. As soon as it hits the water my eel is in feed mode going all over the place trying to locate the food. Man, they cant see for anything!!!!!

i have read many articles on this myself i got a blue ribbon eel in january. i have not got to get him to eat frozen foods yet but most articles that i have read keep trying everything krill, shrimp, clam, oyster and what ever else you can think of. also try to get a clear long piece of plastic to put the food on the end of it. for me guppies and goldfish seemed to die to fast but i did find a site on the internet 2 actually one sells live marine shrimp and flagfish and the other sells live silver sides. my eel has eaten these but really likes the live silversides i watched him eat 3 the other night if it will not accept frozen foods live saltwater foods would be best
