Aw, poor lil guy. I've heard that the striped ones get territorial. They blue ones were that bad? I've got a Yellow tailed blue and a blue devil, but theyre both just as sweet as can be. My little Beau Gregory is a skiddish lil fellow and the other guy, my ocellet, He's the meanie.
Sorry you felt you had to give them all up. How big is the tank they lived in?

I have 8 and there the softy fish in my tank my damsels don’t even lick each other but the chromis's always stay together. Even the clowns sill snap at fishes near their home fish 8x there size

Chromis are generally only aggressive toward each other and rarely toward other fish. I have a school of 5 in my tank and have no problems, but others have had them fight against themselves. From what I understand odd numbers are better than even numbers.
