| condy anenome my nitrates were goin up so i did a 10% water change and now my condy anenome that was white with puple tips is all shrivled up and the tentecles are greenish blue any idea what to do |

How old is the tank?
What kind of lighting do you have?
Did you aclimate it?
Where did you get the salt water, did you check the salt level?

| Sometimes they do that for no reason that I can discover. Or, it could be that one of the other parameters (salinity, temperature) changed too quickly for its liking. In my experience, wait 2-6 hours. It should recover.
If not, check all of your parameters again. Anemones are especially sensitive to changes in pH and salinity. _________ -- SAW39 45 gal modified hex. Started and cycled August 2005.

| the ph is 8.2 salinty is 1.022 in tank water i put in was 1.024 i just discovered my heater that i had in the bucket of changing water is not working so there was about a 10degree diff and i was using spring water before but after comin on here i see that i should be usin ro water so i changed it this time with that im guessin the problem is the temp i didnt know the damn heater was not workin thankx for all the help u guys r givin me i learned so much about saltwater tanks on here i think the lfs was just tryin to sell me stuff and not really tellin me the right things to do |

If your water circulation is good, the next thing you will notice about the Condy is that it moves around -- a lot! He's probably just looking for a location that has mild currents. Mine was on a rock that I bought and stayed on the rock for weeks until I moved one of the powerheads. Since then, he moves to a new location every night or two. And, he regularly closes up, like yours did. |

| ok he seems to be goin back to his old self his tenticles r comin out it just scared me cause he never did that before thankx for all your help |
