hmmm i am thinking that my calerpa (sp) or...some kind of macro algae started to disinigrade and thats what got the tank cloudy...ugh...but im still not sure

Edit: i think its a feathered calerpa...whats the best way for it not to disinigrate? lol...do i need more water movement? or...trim it more?

Caulerpa goes "sexual" meaning, it dies off and spreads itself around! You should see it start to pop up all over the tank soon. I releases all it absorbed nutrients when it does that so get ready to do some water changing! That is one reason I prefer the chaetomorpha. You don't really have that problem so much. On thing to help prevent it from happening is to keep the caulerpa lighted 24 hours a day, but it is not 100% effective.

Umm, yes it is toxic to fish and stuff! It releases all the nutrients it had previously removed from your water, and all at one time! Like I said, do some water changes please

Well, lets see....if you absorb ammonia and nitrates to live, and then you die, and all that ammonia and nitrate was fixed in your body, where would it go?

If you did the 30%, check the water parameters tomorrow and see where they are. And of course, watch the animals...they will tell you !

It should be fine
