The snails have been dealt with, read my last post a little better.
The reason I tied the clam with a string was to allow the clams shell to be closed without the clam having to use energy to keep it closed. I was hoping that it would relieve some of the stress and give it a chance to heal.
I have to try to do something, I just can't sit back and watch it die without attempting to save its life.

I often see with Clams is after the hobbyist gets them home and in the tank and they set them where they want them then the clam will move and get set to its liking the hobbyist will and not knowingly will reach in and pull them up and reset them to where They wanted it to set. About everyone I know that went dead or gapping over a few hrs was moved just before Not always but very very often. Pest as a rule will cause symptoms with the clams pinching or looking off first as a rule.
