I picked up a coarl Beauty, and bam!! two days he's got it all over him . All other fish look good and no sign of it on any of them yet .

| Remember that Ich is present in all tanks, it just lays dormant if everything is healthy. It is kinda like the flu. Fish get ick when they are stressed. A new fish would be very ich-prone. Let him settle into his new environment for a couple days and see what happens. Ich is like the flu a healthy fish can fight it off... _________ 55 gallon reef aquarium, 85 lbs. live rock, 2 1/2" sandbed, False Percula Clown & Foxface, Tetratec PF500 filter, 2 110 watt URI Super Actinic VHO actinics, 2 250 watt metal halides with Reef Optix 2 reflectors powered by Blue Wave 3 ballast Born 1/3/08 My Tank Thread My Tank Video

| There have been no signs of ich on any of my fish for the past 3 to 4 weeks ,everything was looking great ! not one spot to be found anywhere, all have been eating good!
I would not buy A fish if there were any sign of it at all!! Thats why I've waited this long thinking it was safe to add something .
Again, no sign of Ich on the fish when I got it from the lfs! |

| maybe you went got your fish on a day after they stocked their fish, most times is best to wait a few days in case the fish had been injured or it's stressed out by the trip from the supplier I normally wait 3 to 4 days to buy after the lfs has been stocked |

| Q. so when you all pick up something new, you stand just as much of a chance of getting Ich if the fish is weak at all? Spending the time acclimating it the best you can makes all the diff, from getting it or not? |
