bristle worms dying

i just started a new 30 gal tank i started with base rock and then nonliving sand after that i placed LR and then i saw bristle worm. witch was great now i see a few dead ones laying around i this because they have no food supply.

did you order the live rock?? sometimes when you get shipped rock, youll get die off. Worms, corals, sponges ect... will die in the box. If you got the rock locally, the only thing I can think of is your water parameters are off. It is tuff to kill bristle worms.

i bought it locally but it took me a while to get it in the tank and also this is a brand new tank i,m a newbie

Remember you just setup the tank, so if there was life, it could have died because of the water, which is going through a very big change. Bristtle worms grow or reproduce fast, so dont worry to much about them, youll see more of them. Some people consider them a pest, others dont mind them, and some use it as food for their sixline wrasse, or dottyback, or some other fish that really enjoy eating them.
