Default 3 dead fish in one day....please help

Hi everyone,
i don't know whats going on in my tank. I got up this morning and didn't see my usually active tang or dottyback. After searching for them i saw that my cleaner shrimp was going to town on the body of my tang. I kept searching and found my green madarin and dotty back were all dead. The only thing left in my tank are my damsels, percula, and cleaner shrimp. My corals all seem to me kinda half open. Some seem to be doing great while some seem to not be fully open as they usually are. I really have no clue what is going on, cause all my parameters in limits. The only thing that is off is my Ca which i've been trying to raise, but seems to be stuck at 300. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?
The other thing was i retrofitted my canopy, and after doing so i touched my reflectors and got a good buzz. I'm not sure but i guess they are not grounded properly...could that be the problem? but if they are they, don't touch the water or the tank, and i can't imagine the current passing though the wood. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
vinnie

Can you define "in limits" by posting your parameters?

Current can and will pass through wood. Have you got a grounding probe in the tank? If not, you'll want to add one.

I would say any electrical device anywhere near the water needs to be grounded very well. Don't wait to fix that problem not only for the fish, but also for your safety. Also along with ground probe for the fish make sure you have GFCI outlets so you protect yourself from electricution.

I would also have to agree on the electrical problem possibly being the cause of your fish loss. I lost a beautiful 10" French Angle to the same thing years ago. I now have a grounding probe in my tank............... John

I would also re-iterate the need for a GFCI. If you got a buzz from your reflector and the circuit did not blow, you either do not have a properly installed GFCI or it is defective!
