Default White milky snotty slime

In the last two days I have developed in my tank a white milky snotty slime. Don't know where it came from and don't know what to do about it.
It's gotten on the rocks and in sump.
Has anyone ever had this happen before and how did you approach it.
I've had a tank for the past 7 years and never seen this before.
I've researched several forums a few people have had threads on this type of problems, but nobody seems to have an answer to it and how to get rid of it..

Everything has been the same since February. Have not added anything new.
In February I redid my tank completely. I had a real bad outbreak of algae
had fought it for 2 years and finally dismantled it and redid the tank - 75 gal. tank.
Everything was doing great. All the parameters were great. Today I tested and
found:
nitrates 0
nitrates 0
ph 8.5
ammonia 0
calcium 320 = low, but it's been low
magnesium - 1140
kh - 8
salinity 1.023

Contemplating dismanteling it again, it's a lot of work, but the tank is very unsightly. Two days ago the tank looked good, but evidently something was lurking...
Any information anyone has is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
