Default Red unknown algae species has grown fast.

I had kind of forgotten about this one. Had it tuked away toward the back. Looks to have grown 10X since last post about it. Still can't find a positive ID. Has been given a few common names, but no species name.

Yep, a fish store that has very nice corals and established reef's has the very same algae. I think it's a neat looking algae and was gonna ask the guy to give me a piece of it. So colorful. And it looks about the same in person! So believe the overall look of the algae from the pic!

If I could choose what kind of algae my tank had, that one would be on top of the list.

Could you ask next time you are in if they know what it is? Even a common name would be a start. I have searched many algae identification sites and haven't been ablke to find anything even close.
