what do u guys think about adding red algea i seen it for sale at my lfs and it looked cool should i add it or no

Red Gracillaria is an excellent macroalgae! Yes, a good choice!

coral reefer is there different types of red algea i was lookin it up on the net and i found some that looked like slime and some that look like little tree branchs or is it the same thing

Their is Cyanobacteria(red/brownish slime) NOT GOOD!!!!
Ochtodes(red algae)
Botryocladia(red grape algae)
Rhodophyte(red Kelp)
Coralline algae
All great algaes!!!!

I dlike to put some algae i my tank - but last time i purchased som eand put it in my sea urchin would not leave it alone until he ate every single last peice

a better place for algae would be a refugium.

Algae isn't a bad thing at all, it just uses excess nutrients. Its the owners personal opinion if they want to 'dirty' their tank.

Sooo...to sum it up, as long as it isnt GHA or something, to each his own

i have a 26gallion bowfront its fowlr right now but i whant to add some inverts and anenames or how ever u spell it

Good luck botie, just make sure you have a high output light before adding the anemone to ensure its health!

I have a question, which algae is WORSE, red or green?
(the red type is more slimy and the green type is more hairy. both types vary between bright and dull green and maroon colors.)
