(: P/M me I'll explain how we grow it out. Not easy to do properly lots of work to keep the cultures pure .. I've heard you can start it from the bottle of live stuff like DT's from the LFS. | No you want to start with a pure culture not a bottle of D.T's thats a way but not the better way . A proper culture comes sterile and in a culturing petri dish on a dry media.
To grow green water is very simple and is very easy to do. But you have to do it correctly . There was lady about 10 yrs ago up in Canada somewhere she and I talked a few times she had a site up with her little jugs on a shelf and she cultured a bad batch . Last I heard it wiped their tank out. Easy to do but if you do it properly its not that hard but there are certain guide lines you have to follow . And you have to keep the cultures clean. Contamination is a issue |
