| mermaid's wine glass algae Does any one know how a white or green mermaid's wine glass will do in a home aquarium. It's a algae and its scientific name is Acetabularia crenulata.
I would like to find out more before get some. I've been doing some reach but there is not a lot of info out there. They're very pretty.

| It's beautiful ... for algae! People have kept it in aquariums before, so I know it's possible. It's a calcified algae, so it probably grows slowly, and everything that I've found says it has modest lighting requirements.
I suspect it would be safe to try. I'd be interested to hear how it goes. _________ -Mickey 175g Bowfront - 75g Refugium - 100g Sump - 3 Phoenix 14k 250W MH - AquaC EV240 Skimmer - 240lbs Haitian Live Rock - 4" DSB - Red Velvet Fairy Wrasse - Azure Damsel - Banggia Cardinal - Firefish Goby - Blackcap Basslet - Purple Tang - Powder Brown Tang - Regal Tang - Green Manderin - 2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp - 2 Peppermint Shrimp - 2 Emerald Crabs - Rose BTA - Orange Linkia - Tuxedo Urchin - Spiney Urchin (hitchhiker) |
