| Re: help green hair alge I would stop feeding that Tang completely. He is spoiled. I found the scientific name of that algae but I am not remembering it right now. Anyway in a scientific study conducted in Hawaii on Yellow Tangs out of 55 specie of algae that was the 5 most preferred. Your tang should be doing back flips at the site of that stuff. The Tang shouldn't be eaten shrimp away it will eventually kill him. BL that was at the height of the outbreak before I figure out it was the RO. |

| Re: help green hair alge try getting some Scarlet Reef Hermit Crabs, yes don't feed the tang for awhile  how much water movement do you have?sounds like phospate problem to me.do you add anything else to the tank trace elements ect..

| Re: help green hair alge yeah i add trace twice a week and reef complete twice a week and kalk drip every other night. i dont feed the tang anything but he goes after the shrimp when i feed |
