| is this hairalgea? or something else? Is this a hairalgea (al the red stuff)? Or some other nuissance algea? It grows only in one corner from my tank. Sometimes it disappears than it grows back in 1-2 days, than it diminuishes but it never really gets away. ANy suggestions? |

| Looks like cyano to me.
How long has the tank been running?
Check for nitrates and/or phosphates. Need more flow in that part of the tank. |

| I think that is Cyanobacteria I would cut back on the feeding ,increase water flow to the area ,test water and see what happens if it gets crazy there are other options . good luck don't feel bad we all get it at some point.  |

I think it is red algae. Buy this and remove it. (I am sure there is about 1M other products.)

| I wouldnt add red slime remover I would just add flow you will be better off in the end. if anything you might crush up some marycin and mix it up in a cup real well and then add it to your tank since that is basically what that expensive redslime remover is. |

All tanks go thru bouts of this stuff during first couple of years.
Vacuuming up what I can, and increasing amount and frequency of water changes always worked for me.
Have not seen hide nor hair of in long, long time...
