Bubbles!

So I've had my MH's about a week now, and i've noticed all these bubbles forming everywhere, i dont think its bubble algae, i have a tiny bit of that down on some LR the Emerald crabs are picking at. it doesnt look the same as this. this looks like air bubbles. Not sure whats causing it. the MH's are the only thing i've changed lately, im not sure if they just helped me see it alot more or if they have something to do with it. here is a pic. Thoughts?

(yeah there is a little plug of Cyno left, but its on its way out.)

how much flow do you have that looks like the start to some sort of algea problem.

I have 2x Maxijet 600's, the tank is 30x18x24h but that pic is of the back of the wall, it has always collected algae, but the LMB keeps it mowed down pretty good....im just curious where those bubbles might be comming from.

Do you observe some changes in coloration of substrate?! Are the bubbles also released when you still the substrate a bit?! Is there any kind of thin "film" layer on the surface of water?!

I get them from time to time when I leave my controller screws up and my halides stay on to long the bubbles form right before the algea I also have a tank in a window that gets the bubbles and then turns a yellowish green algea I just have 2 korlias pushing right on the glass now and dont run my lights as much anymore and turn my skimmers up to help clear up the water A diatom filter would be good to run on it for a few days to get all the algea to clear up and probably take care of your problem what type water do you use to replenish your evaporation?

I havent noticed any discoloration of the sand, but i have noticed some bubbles comming up from it. not to many just a couple now and then. I have not noticed any film buildup on the surface water.

Looks to me like the start of red slime algae. It can be a real pain in the #@!. Do you have plenty of current? Lack of oxygen can promote RSA. I had a spell for a while that went away with adding more current. Also when I changed my lighting to mh's I didn't properly acclimate it. Slowly increasing your light cycle is recommended.

no no. the red slime (cyno) is alot better than it was. its slowly dying off, im not concerned with the algae, as its only growing on the back wall and not all my rock/sand, cleanup crew doing a good job. im just curious where those bubbles are comming from. and if its bubble algae i got a HUGE problem. but i really dont think it is. just looks like air bubbles.
