Question anyone have any coraline scrapings

Hello fellow reefers,hope everyone had a great new year.Just wondering if anyone had any coraline scrapings they could spare,ive got a fairly new tank id like to get some purple stuff seeded in it.pm me if you can help,thanks mike in fl.

HI,
Try and find some live rock with it on it and see if they will sell you a piece.
That stuff will grow easily, remeber that to much phos will suppress the coraline and increase the green stuff.
I use a phos remover in my tanks from time to time to keep it under control.
I add the phos remover to a sock and the green algae starts to bleach almost over night and the purlple stuff will grow .
Your trace elements are important to coraline.

i have had success taking little scrapping and rubbing it on new rocks with tweezers and it will start to grow there too.

Sure, I have a mess you can scrape off the walls of my tank. Come by anyting and keep all you want.

300 Reef; 325LR, 1/2" sand bed in tank, 3" sand bed in 215 gal sump/refugium and Berliner PowerPro SS twin becket skimmer. 210 Reef; with 225 lbs of LR, 300 lb DSB, Large W/D and Jebo 520 skimmer modified to accept a becket. 90 RR FOWLR; tied into the 300's sump with a closed loop for extra circulation. 55 hospital.
