Default algea

ok this is wat going on, i have a layer of film algea on my font side panel, but not the back panel, i use ro water for everything, i used phosgard to treat it, no help, my para are nitrate <10, ph8.1 salinity 1.020, however, i just changed my bulbs from blueline 50/50 and it look really blue more atinic then daylight, i dont know that would cause the problem another thing, i have my tank sit right next to the window, now i had the blind open for some sunlight i think that is wat causing the problem. help plz

well i that case i have my window blinded and light turn off for the next 2 days to decrease the problem, i have my moonlight on and maybe just like an hr worth of light for the bta

Just having your window blinded will help alot.. I wouldn't leave your light off for that long, just cut the time down to like 6 hours.....

ditto the blinds, and get that salinity up to about 1.024 for your inverts. Also if I read your sig correctly and you have an emperor angel make plans to move him soon, he's going to get way to big for that tank

for sure the sunlight wont help,
However a small thin film of algae is not uncommon in a marine tank perhapts you just can not see it on the back glass . I have to clean the algae of my front and side glass1-2 times a week I think its normal thats why aquarium magnet manufacturera are still in buissnes LOL
