How long has the Tank been set up?
I totally agree with Matt, is there a reason you have your lights on 24/7?
Do you currently have livestock in the tank?

Moon lights aren't necessary.
If I were you I'd just turn the lights off after 10-12 hours a day.

Nah.. everything needs downtime. A lot of corals feed at night too.. taking their cue from the darkness..

You might consider reducing the photo period to a very short time to starve the algae out quickly due to lack of photosynthesis and then bring it up to around ten hours slowly. If you have fish only, should be no problem for a few days.

Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer.

Newbie,
Remember that you are trying to duplicate the ocean. There are no corals north of the Artic Circle. Back off on the light and get some turbo grazer snails.
