I think your confusing two of us. Reeferhead has a 36g.

I started my tank from scratch and have more than 90lbs of rock in there.

Reeferhead has the same problem as me, but I think his tank has cycled for 2 weeks only in which case thats normal for his tank. My tank has been setup for about 1yr.

See last post of page 3. I just realized that right before you posted. And I think in 2 weeks, that he's still in the ammonia and nitrite part of his cycle, and hasn't had his nitrates even spike yet.

IBM, try some phosguard.
reeferhead, good luck with your tank cycle. Diatoms are to be expected at the end of the cycle process.

Yeah this thread is a little crazy/entertaining, but since reeferhead is new he is pardoned

Im going to hook up the phosphate reactor to see if that clears up everything. I have to get a phosphate kit asap to check levels.

Yeah im new to all of this stuff so I dont know how it works or the proper forum etiquite. sorry. but my live rock and sand and stuff is the stuff that has already been cycled from the 5 gal. the only thing that I have added more of is live sand. I have not hooked up my 10 gal fuge yet because I am waiting to get a external overflow bow from a dude at cappucino bay in atl. Please dont tell me my ammonia is going to spike again and I will lose everything.

Sorry, can't tell you that you won't cycle again. Going from 5 gallons to 36 is basically like starting a new tank up.
