I have this problem sometimes. If I position the camera close to the glass and press to focus is goes fuzzy. However, if I stand back and zoom in, THEN press to focus the picture comes out clear. Also if you have some sort of recognition software on your camera then you can use that to your advantage along with the close up option (usually symbolized by the flower icon.)
