OK...here is how turned out...(Fans blowing out, re: Tangster - really makes more sense when one thinks about...)

Old guy in pic (way older then me) is 87 year old Father...a retired MD/US Navy Capt...and a wizard at doing anything with tools. (very much unlike self - ) - but I am good at idea's...

Surface Fans:












KKontrol portable/prewired Thermostat (See post: Need Thermostat to control cooling fans?


Simple...but will work great...already hooked up to thermostat and checked out... (not nearly as noisy as computer fans in sump area)

So now when kicks on 7 fans power up...kind of startling when sitting next to tank when it does...they quiet down considerably once up to speed.

(TIP: If your fans start getting "noisy" check for salt creep on blades...cleaned up mine from heavy use last year and made big difference.)
