Also if you used water from your display tank for the quarantine tank it has absolutely no reason to cycle, it will be exactly the same as your display. But you do need to test and make sure everything stays good, assuming it is good in the display. Go buy a cheap hang on back (HOB) filter for the tank, shouldn't cost much.
