It's about 3 1/2 months old. We let it cycle for 2 months before we added fish. All the levels are perfect except for nitrates, which are off the charts. People have told us that it's not good to do water changes once a week, but then our lfs said we should do a 10 gallon water change once a week to get the nitrates down. I'm starting to believe the guy at the lfs. We have to get the nitrates down somehow.
