Not that it matters much.....very few corals directly ingest phyto.....most corals are carnivores and not vegetarians. With that said, phyto does feed many other species that spawn, and their spawn is good coral food.
Dr. G's Phytoplankton is very much alive. I've seen it under a microscope when a rep. was pitching it to LFS. I know alot of people who use it and love it. I can't seem to find it on web maybe it's too new?
