Other then to be used as a coral dip the need to test for Iodine is less then the need to add iodine.. I'd not add any myself feeds the hell out of algae problems ..and there is no proof its even needed for an aquarium.. But many feel the need to dose it still .. But as with a strontium test idine is a hard element to get a solid test on.
