What are 3reefers supplementing their tank and how often are you adding? Do you test for what you are adding? Along with this thread. Carbon? want to make sure I'm not going to regret this in the future. The carbon I'm clear on,but, additives I'm not sure about. My tank is so healthy I don't want to stir up the pot. Is there a party with free beer I'm not at?

Lmao , well I run roughly one pnd. of carbon to help keep the water crystal clean.
Also do a 50 gal. water change out every 2 weeks , and a skimmer.
as far as additives
Add Cal. to keep @ 350-400
Mag @ 1250-1300 ( hardly ever have to add once i got it where i wanted it )
Iodine was added ( i keep it round .04 ) havint had to add any drops for quite some time .
Only additives i use is the "IONS"-from seachem Mag/stronium.
( like 1 cap every 3 weeks and have since not really needed it in the last month )

The only thing that i'm not really pleased with is nitrates, I seem to keep
a reading of around 10-20 reading
I strongly suspect it's the DSB (4-6 inches deep) after i talked to geekafied.
We think it's leaching nitrates from the deep sand over time as the tank grows older.
But there are benifits to it , my Xeania and tear drop maxima seem to love it

Also have 2 leathers one is a devils hand and the other a toad stool ( and their in great shape )
the others are like 20 heads of metalic green muchrooms and a few red's )
Also have a single colony of torch coral larger than a kids mini-football.

And a large piece of montapora red plate and its already grown to where you cant tell where i broke it off of the mother colony from a friend ( had it bought a month )
