I'm going to buy a UV if I can get some advice on a good brand

,also would like to know what brand power head you all recommend to run it .

I was told that by getting one,it would help keep my fish and tank healthier ?

In your opinion is it wise to hook one up?
Btw I have a 46gal bowfront.
