Well Krusty finally bought it
The last few days he had gradually been getting worse.
Spoke to the guys at my LFS and they reckon that he prob never recovered from my salt spike the other week (crap hydrometer).
All the inverts are looking great and parameters are all spot on so will leave things for a week or two before getting any replacement fish.
When I was first looking into marine tanks came across a site where some guy was raving about fresh water tanks and had only one line to say about salt water: "don't do it. It costs a fortune and then everything dies." I can see his point now.
Trouble is there are so many really cool things that you can put in saltwater tanks and as long as you keep all your parameters under control livestock should live and flourish. Have learnt the salt lesson and got a refractometer after my 6 line died in the salt spike so everything should be ok next time round.
Have already got my eyes on a pair of black and white clowns - looks like i've caught the salt bug. Would get a bigger tank if I had space for it. Might just have to buy a bigger flat
