I myself would just put some of the main tanks water into a small pail then add the same amount of Q/T water to the pail let it set in there then just Gently slide your wet open hand palm open up under the fish and set it into the main tank.. Thats how I do it that way you have 1/2 diluted any traces of copper then you don't put any of the tainted water from the pail when transfer is complete just put the pail water into the Q/T tank as a mini water change ?
