20ppm is sort of normal and it could be do to your salt mix, unless you are using real sea
water witch is full of it. also the size of your tank play a big role in it, the smaller the more frequent you need to change some of your water. But you need to be a little more specific!
how many fish, rock, filtration etc...etc!
