If I got a tek fixture would 4*54 watt do it for SPS? Keeping in mind that most people who have replied seem to have this setup for bigger tanks. Wouldn't 4*54 be much more light for my tank than it would for someone else's 75 or 90? Quote: |
I'd save..spend more money and get a Tek fixture instead.I had the exact fixture, from the same company a year ago.I had them on a 75 gallon, and it was ok.I upgraded to a tek,all the difference in the world, nite a day.I have to have leathers, shrooms, yumas, etc at the bottom. Can even keep sps half way down.
| Papareef- did you get a 4 bulb tek or 6?
I think you guys have safely convinced me to go with a better light (Although I asked the dude about the original fixture I posted and he said the bulbs all have individual reflectors. Is that the only issue you guys had with it? If there's other stuff besides that then I'll save some more. I'd rather be safe than sorry )
Now it seems I need to decide whether or not to go with 4 bulbs or 6. Any comments?
