I think we all like to keep this chore as simple as possible

Imix up 50 gallons at a time i just use 2 power heads and , there ya go.
I check sevral times salinity then ph, alk once and go with it.
I dont check or worry of temp, but on a smaller tank yes by all means .

It doesint affect the total body of water in my tank simply because of sheer voulume of water .
Ive always used only power heads, i really dont see the importance of airation really in make up water.
