As far as I'm aware there are no hard and fast rules to working this out. There are a fair amount of factors that will determine your evaporation rate, but as your tank is already running then really it's going to be down to whatever you change. In this case it's your lights and hood. If your lights produce a lot of heat and are near the water service then you will get increased evaporation, but I'm sure you knew that already and I'm just rambling on!

I have to top up my tank with around 5 to 6 gallons a week and my tank measures roughly around 120x50, but every tank is different.
