I set up a seperate 10 gallon tank and slowly acclimate them over a few days. For me, living in NY, the temp difference is tremendous, so that's why I take the extra precaution. I fell in today trying to get off a sandbar I got trapped on by the high tide while collecting, and I was frozen by the time I got back to my car! right now, I have snails and hermits acclimating to higher temps and my water chemistry right now.
