I'm getting a lot of advice not to turn on my lights in my new aquarium. I started it about a week ago and have 30-35 lbs of LR in it (its 40 gallons). I have nova extreme T5s, and would love to be using them right now... Why shouldn't I be using lights? I figured lights would speed up the cycle if anything..
