Should I add more Mg? | Hey there, The key to bring your Cal and Alk up is Mag. If your dosing Mag and Alk and Cal at the same time, its not going to happen, your just chasing your tail. Your Alk is fine at 3.5, so stop dosing for that, for now. Stop dosing Cal. I would concentrate on Mag, when your Mag is between 1380 and 1480, then stop dosing Mag, wait for one day and start dosing Cal. Always keep an eye on your parameters. This is the part that becomes a P.I.T.A. b/c every time you dose, you have to test for what your dosing. I just tested my water and my Mag is 1400, my Cal is 480 and Dkh/Alk is 13.8/4.91.
