The rocks are not going to effect the glass. Remember that everything loses there weight in water. As for the aquascaping, Froc3 mentioned a good idea. You could also buy different shapes and sizes of LR to help you out. I start out by putting the rocks somewhere in the middle of the tank and work my way to the back. The back glass will always get some rocks against it, unless you have a island tank. Hope this helps. Luna
