I my self have never did any water changes in over 30 yrs on tank that I have ran for over 10 yrs . I size my skimmer for the amount of water passing through the sump and its always worked .. If you think about it it can only skim what you have to skim and what water is avaliable to skim .. Thats why so many have issues with my skimmer is not foaming ?
Nothing to foam I like mine to skim as neceassry and not rape the water of all the elements. But on a 350 say a ETSS 2500 would have nothing to do.. Now on a 3,000 gal heavy load commercial system then yes That's why I took the 2500 that I ran on a heavy loaded 750 reef with a few hundred different type of fish's and full of corals of different types I removed the 2500 ETSS and went doen to the ETSS 1500 and put the 2500 on the shops entire system with about 6,000 gallons and that includes the 2,500 gallon reef tank. Its still runs away with it . As for feeding corals .. Just stir the sumps every night.. Thats the best coral food you can feed and its just fish waste and left over bits of food they missed.. I'd get the Bullet 3 and Not the Bullet X-L if you went with the X-L then the 2 would be plenty..

I have seen the bubble Kings and they rock just as Jason mentioned I just have never ran one on my systems But we have a client that runs a 500 gal with one he just added last yr it does a great job not sure of the size of it now ? He also changed buld and did not ask or tell us and lost his tank ): But that was 6 months or more after he changed the skimmer out. and with in a few days of the bulbs so the skimmer had little if anything to do with it..
